So Brennan was pushing his rocking chair thru the house and ran into another chair the rocking chair flipped back and he flipped forward and they collided, and this was the end result. Sorry thats pb&j on his jaw.

Funny thing is when he gets bigger I'm gonna tell him that Kate hit him because he was bullying her around he wont remember and maybe he will learn his lesson. Even if he doesnt it will be funny.

Our last trip to the zoo was a very special one. It was a reward to Brennan for being good all Sunday and church. Of course, riding the train is the best part of going to the zoo. This time we were the only ones on the train and the engineer let the kids pose for picture on the engine. I've never seen a happier boy, even if he was extremely tired.

Last week we attended Michael's graduation from Holden High School. It was a very nice ceremony and they honored him for enlisting in the Army. He'll be leaving for basic training this summer. We are so proud of him!

All Janel wanted for Mother's Day this year was to spend some quality time with Jim and the kids. At the last minute we decided to go to Disney on Ice. None of us had been before and it was great! Well here we are and its Christmas morning. So far I'm the only one awake I cant wait to see the kids faces when they get up . A large section of the living room is covered with presents from SANTA. He came last night and looks like he emptied his sled. the kids got bikes and small wagons and lots of other nice toys. OCS came by to visit yesterday and brought the kids toys and clothes. Kate got 3 babies and some clothes that are too big but she will grow into them . And Brennan got 3 sets of trucks and some clothes. They were so excited. Last sunday we had a family visit for the kids at Grammy and pops house and the parents were ther too. So we did Christmas early there and Brennan opened one box and it was a pair of stripped overalls and I have never seen a child get excited about clothes. I cant even explain the look on his face he wanted to put them on right then. It was so cute. Well I guess things are about to pick up here I hear Kate moving about.
Well I want to wish all of you a Merry Christmas . Please remember why we celebrate Christmas and our Lord Jesus Christ. And all the many blessing that we all have because of our Heavenly Father. I hope all of you have a great time with your families and please be safe in your traveling.

Chris is my nextdoor neighbor and any chance we get we take out his quad and ride around.
So we decided to go pull each other behind the 4 wheeler so we took a storage container and a rope. but that was kinda squirrely so we took some leftover plywood from the hurricane and pulled each other on that. It was great so we went to the park down the road. We had a great time it was like being a kid again.

So we were all excited because from our last court date the Judge set a termination hearing for Dec 3rd. So we get there yesterday and after about 45 minuates a case worker sees us and comes to talk to us asking us " what are you here for?" . Well to make a long story short noone from the state knew we were suppost to be there because of a missunderstanding by the judge and the state workers. So nothing happened yesterday in court and we possibly wont kno wanything for another 6 months. I wanna put my application in to work with the state so I can have a job and benifits and not know a damn thing about what im doing . And then when someone finds out that I dont know what im doing im can make it seam like its all tier fault. And crawfish ot of ever cituation that im not sure of.

Well we had to be at court @ 8:30 yesterday morning. We were expecting the state to start termination of the parents rights, and also the fact that the parents as of last sunday were willing to surrender thier rights. To make a long story short we have a seperation hearing on December 3rd which at that point as long as the judge signs the paper and agrees with everything the parent will be done. To quote the judge when he found out that we were wanting to adopt the kids he said" looks like everthing is going your way".
Now the bad part of the day was that the &#$%^&* judge decided to take a 5 hour lunch break. No I didnt studder and your ears didnt flap I said a 5 hour lunch break. So we didnt leave the courthouse untill 6 pm last night . But thats ok hopefully by nid year next year we will have addopted to of the cutest little crackheads I have ever seen.

So I went to vote this morning and couldnt even drive down the road it was so backed up. Well we waited until I got off work and went only to find out that we have been moved to a church on the other side of the interstate. It really wasnt bad the wait was short just the drive over there in evening traffic. As I was walking out I heard a women say " God please help us". I felt the same way, we will see tomorrow.

Since we have moved back to Louisiana we have been looking for somewhere to get a good dessert on date nights or any night. well I have found it . We found a dessert in Arizona called pizookie or something like that. but the nake is not that important . What is important is that it is a freshly baked cookie its still warm with icecream on it. BJ,s across the street from the Rave theater by the mall has them in about 5 differant flavors. you can even call in your order and pick it up they will bring it to your car even . its awsome we had one tonight . hope you injoy.

well I was gonna try and post once a day for this month and on the second day I have allready failed. I guess I will give a little update on our family this week is a big week for us we have alot going on and it will keep us busy . Most importantly we have court this thursday Nov 6th . The state claimes that they are tryting to turminate the parents rights and follow thru with addoption altho we feel comfortable that things are heading that direction we just dont trust the state workers. But on the more positive side the parents told us last night that they are ready to turn over thier rights because they know that they cant afford to take care of them. so we will se on thursday. Please keep us in your prayers.

We made the trip around the block ( cause our lame street only had 5 houses participating).
So while we were gone we left a bucket of candy on the front steps with a sign that read " Please take one we went trick or treating, Happy Holloween." We came back expecting an empty bucket and it was still there. But we had agood time. Janel and I have made arrangments for the kids to stay with Grammy and Pops for the night so we are going to go catch a movie and well........... pictures of the kids will follow soon.

Well I'm sorry that it took so long but life has been KRAZY since Gustav. Well we as a family are doing great. Our house sustained no damage from the storm but we did have a powersurge that fried our computer ( Janel fixed it for 40 dollars ), the TV ( my sister Rhonda gave us an extra one that she had, and it actually has a remote so we upgraded ), our modem and our router ( our friend Joey gave us a modem that she wasnt using ) , our PS2 and our Nintendo WII ( they are in the shop being repaired. ). We lost a section of fence in the back but we were able to nail it back up with no problems. We also lost the gate from the side of the house, but we are going to extend that side of the yard all the way up to the front of the house so we are in the process of having our land surveyed so we know exactlly were we can build. We were without power for 8 days we have a generator so we were able to have a window unit in our bedroom and we all slept in our room so we could keep cool. We were able to run our washer but not the dryer, so we hung our clothes out on a clothes line. We did well but it cost us a small fortune in gas for the generator but we survived. Janel and the kids are doing great, Brennan celebrated his third birthday in August and he growing fast. Kate is running all over the house and talking more everyday. Janel is a great mother and the best wife that I could have ever been blessed with. As for me the storm has blessed us with ALOT of work .

Well here are some pictures of the tree that woke us up. I was able to get a chainsaw from a friend and cut it off of the house before the weather gets worst. Im allmost positive that it caused no damage except for a loose fence now and a stretched out gutter. wishing everyone well and we will keep everyone informed untill we loose power. We have allready lost cell fones.

I just thought I would give everyone an update before we lose power. @about 5:10am I heard something so I got up and thought that it was the plywood that I had cut yesterday to cover my backdoor had fallen. So I opened the back door and to my surprise a small tree with about a 10 inch trunk had broken in half at about 4 or 5 feet off the ground , and came accross our fence and it is now balancing on our fence and gutter over my master bedroom. As of right now the only damage that I can tell is that its weighing on my gutter and pulling it down. As soon as the sun comes up so I can take some pictures Im gonna call some friends and get the tree cut and off the roof before it causes more damage. But just so everyone knows we are doing great.

This will be written for our extended family and also to vent my concerns. Its freakin crazy around here. as you all know HURRICANE GUSTAV is on its way. It seams to be like a hungry cajun looking for some gumbo or something they (hurricanes) seam to love Louisiana. Well we are all buckled down and waiting it out here in the Rabalais house. We have generator hooked up and ready to go we have 110 gallons of water stored in 55 gallon drums that I bought from the Coca Cola plant. We have food storage coming out of our .... well lets just say we have enough. contra-flow started at 4 am this morning for those leaving New Orleans. The word is that this one will probably be worst than KATRINA. I love the fact that 2 of our 3 kids are too young to know to be worried. I dont have any crazy stories about the way people are acting other than they are like a bunch of ants, just folllowing in really big lines. Ok so of course Im watching the news as I type this and just saw the projected path to come just west of our town. What does that mean for us ? Well that means that we will be getting the worst part of the winds and rain with estimated rainfall at 13 to 20 inches within 24 hours starting monday. We got an e-mail last night saying that we are only going to have Sacrament meeting this morning, so that we can continue to either get ready or leave which ever people are doing. Not many people that we know are leaving but the southern parishes are having mandatory evacuations. One of my brothers that live in Jennings brought his family to my dads in Mississippi. well please keep us in your prayers. I will update as I can.

Well about a week ago one of Brennan's friends came over and while he was here used the potty and Brennan saw him. Well it got Brennan excited about using the potty himself, and last thursday he informed us that he needed to go potty and he actually did. But even more shocking was this morning Kate says" I pee pee" so we took her to the bathroom and she actually pee-peed in the potty. We are so proud of both of them and shocked . other than that we are all doing ok and trudging the road of happy destiny.

Well we went to court last Wednesday and I should have written earlier but things have been really busy. The judge decided to give the birth parents 3 more months to get thier act together. He really came down hard on the mother he said " YOU ARE PREGNANT AGAIN, WHAT WERE YOU THINKING? " Her responce was it was an accident. He said "YOU WILL NOT DO THIS AGAIN TO ANOTHER CHILD I WANT A DRUG TEST RIGHT NOW, AND YOU BETTER HOPE THAT IT COMES UP NEGATIVE." Well it did she was crying saying that she had been clean for 7 months and why didn't anyone believe her. I wanted to just tell her " oh I dont know maybe cause you are an addict and people dont trust people like us untill we show them that we are seriously working some kind of program ." But un like me I kept my mouth shut and didnt say anything. So the good points in the situation are that we still have the kids for any where from 3 to 6 months. We would like to thank everyone for thier prayers and phone calls showing that you care. We love you all and adore your friendship.

Jazz Fest and Grandisle

Just thought I would write about our weekend, Janels family all came into town with the exception of her brother Peter and his family and we are sorry that they couldnt make it . Well I took Friday off and we went to Jazzfest. We were able to see a few small name bands that we didnt know, and we also saw Robert Plant and Allison Kraus, then Sheryl Crow headlined. When she was done singing we left and headed to Grandisle. Janel had planned the trip and we had 2 cabins rented for the weekend. It was fun. We got to play in the ocean on Saturday and Brennan loved the waves. He and I walked out about 50 yards and the water was about chest high but when the waves came in they were head high and he just laughed so hard. He loved the water hitting us in the face, he would laugh until he couldn't catch his breath so we would turn our backs to the waves for awhile . We bought the kids these swimsuits with built in floatation in the chest and backs so they look like they are all BUFF like they went to the gym to work out. Saturday night we found some fresh shrimp and boiled them for dinner. We watched Harry Potter last night and all crashed early. But how does the saying go early to bed early to rise 4:30 Kate was awake so her and I played and about 5:45 Brennan woke up so then everyone else had to wake up. Thats just how it is. He cant be as quiet as kate and I . Well as soon as we get the pictures downloaded I will post them.

Tax season is finally over and I have my family back. I hate being alone. So everyone is back and doing well. And on to other news my mom had a knee replacement surgery on April 7th and I'm happy to pass on the good news that she is doing well. I'm gonna try to blog more often if I can.

Well I can answer that one with a big fat yes.Brennan woke up about 45 minuates ago and has screamed until the entire household is awake. Ya know I love him but there are times when that you just dont know what to do with them. Now Im wide awake and dont even feel tired.He only wants Janel but he wont stop talking about everything his litttle mind can think of. Sorry to grip and complain but just needed to vent. I was checking the blogs and realized that I hadnt written in a while. mso I wanted to write to let everyone know that we are doing fine. Ya know its that time of year so my wife wiull be leaving me again soon to go to Arizona, for the remaing part of tax season. As of right now Janel's mom is in town and its always nice having her here with us. They will be leaving next Tuesday so I'll be by my self again for 2 weeks. Work is doing well and the kids are great. We now have a family team meeting on may6th and c ourt on may 7th. so hopefully the judge will make a decission then and not drag this process out any longer. So please keep us in your prayers, but more importantly keep the kids in your prayers , as we know this is more about them and thier well being than it is for us. see ya later.

20 years ago: I was young and dumb. Just out of school, working in the welding field. Just out of trade school, looking for a good time, anywhere I could find it. Wheather it was legal or not.

10 years ago: I was fresh out of a relationship that tore my heart out and sacraficed it over an open flame, @ least thats what it felt like at the time . I was doing EVERYTHING in life that I should not have been doing.

5 years ago: My entire life has changed. I have met the woman of my dreams and we have been married just over 2 months . I have never been happier in my life.

3 years ago: We lived in Arizona , we were rebuilding homes and really looking forward to moving back to Louisiana.

1 year ago: We have moved back to Louisiana, a year ago. We have decided that we would try to adopt a child since it seemed that we are not going to be able to have our own. We are very excited about this possibilty. We have also planned a cruise to the western Caribean for our 5th anniversary.

Yesterday: My wife, sister-in -law, the 2 kids that we are trying to adopt and myself .We all went downtown and visited the planetarium, had some pizza and came home. I went to visit Josh and Stacey and kids to help with some remodeling planning. They came over for dinner and we had crawfish, then played Catch phrase, we had a blast.

Today: We went to church, I had a meeting early this morning and we just got home not to long ago . We had dinner and now I'm updating my blog.

Tomorrow: I will wake up and go to work come home and find my life to be the most blessed that it has ever been, the kids will be running around the house at least one of them will be crying . And my beautiful wife will be here, what a miracle my life has become.

Life has been really busy lately, with moving and minor re-modeling, and kids and work and church callings and the list goes on. But I am happy to report that we are all doing well. Janel had a case of strepthroat but she is finally over it . We went to see the Hudds tonight to see thier new little addition to the world. We are going to call him D.J. HUDD. He is much cuter than Adam even tho the proud daddy thinks he looks like him . LOL All I can say is that I hope all of you couples who are having all of these boys theach them how to treat a girl well cause I have one of the only girls around thier age . LOL I will try to get some pictures posted soon .

Well its been a while since my last post so I'll try and catch everybody up. We had a great Christmas and a nice slow new year. 2 days after christmas i was at work using a razorblade and sliped and cut my finger wide open. I went to the doctor and he said I was very lucky I cut down to the tendon but didnt cut thru it so he put 5 stitches inside and 10 on the outside.. I pulled the stitches Sunday at church.
The next day Janel and I bought our first house. We moved in the next day. Much thanks to all of our friends who helped with the move, we love ya. We are still unpacking.
Well tonight thursday the 10 Janel is getting over the bug that she had and now I have it. I feel like I have a major hangover. and it hurts "I swear I'll never drink again." How many times have I said that. LOL
Kate is walking now and she is so excited that she can walk she will walk all over the house with no particular destination just so she can walk.
Next Thursday we are all going to Arizona, I havent been there in over 2 years, just to busy with work. Im actually going to escourt my family out there and drop them off. I will be returning Sunday but they will return in 2 weeks. Ya know its TAX SEASON so I loose my wife during this time of year.
We have alot of stuff ( I call it junk ) Janel calls it a garage sale. so if you are interested , contact Janel. Ok well I feel like crap so im gonna end for now

I dont know how or why people like to shop. We finally went Christmas shopping tonight, and I'm tired and out of patience. One thing that I cant stand about the Christmas season are the people, who act like the world is coming to an end, and if they dont get there before you or get the item you are going for before you then they lose the game and die with fewer toys. Well if I have to go to any stupid store for a gift again I'm gonna chose door number three, I think thats the one where I'll be run over by a steamroller and then treated like the coyote in the road runner cartoons. I think that would be better. sorry to sound like the Greench. So heres wishing all of you a very MERRY CHRISTMAS .

I'm want everyone to know how much I love my wife, being married to her is the greatest thing that has ever happened ion my life. She is a great example of the perfect wife , a great example of the Gospel, and I love her with all my heart . I am happy to announce that she has put up with me for 5 years as of today , I'm still not sure why but I don't care, I'm very blessed to have her in my life .

Back from Vacation!!!!!

Well Janel and I just got back this evening from a 7 day western Caribean cruise. We went to Montigo Bay , Jamaica, Georgetown Cayman Isle, and Cozumel Mexico. We ate like the world was coming to an end. We went snorkeling and enjoyed some relaxing days with friends and family. as soon as we get the pictures down loaded I'l post some.

Riding daddy's tractor!!!

Brennan calls it daddy's tractor and today was the first time we were able to get him to ride. We had to shame him into it by telling him that Kate was riding and she wasn't scared, so he finally gave in and got on , before we were done he was " driving daddy's tractor."

This is why we have children and pets, because its pictures like this that make me realize that its the simple things in life like a hug, where we find our happyness. Brennan wakes up in the morning and he is either asking for peanut butter and jelly or the puppies. These 2 love each other so much. We are blessed to have such loving dogs that like kids, and kids that love dogs.

Do you ever have one of those days that you just dont really want to do what you know you should do? Well today was one of those days. I woke up earlier than I wanted to , even tho it was time to get up . Then we get to church and I instantly started feeling better . After we finished setting up for sacrament, I turned around and noticed Thomas and mom and dad Mangum walking in . So of course I went to say hello and was told by mom Mangum," WE think that our Jeni and Aaron, and Calyn will be here " . Instantly great news even tho I know they have moved it hasnt been long enogh to have kicked in yet , meaning we have seen them everyweek since we moved them ( MAY I SAY AGAINST OUR WILL . I ACTUALLY THREATENED TO DUCTAPE JENI TO A PEW CAUSE I KNEW THAT AARON WOULDNT LEAVE WITHOUT HER. ) It was great to see them and we are so happy to know that yall are doing well , and even happier to hear that they like our ward more better. so Jeni,Aaron and Calyn if we havent told you lately we love you . Well yesterday was the relief society salute to women, and we as husbands were asked to babysit and support our wifes so they could participate. Well let me tell you Janel left with both carseats so I was stuck @ home with the kids and noway to go any where. Things went well and we all survived but I am a true believer that a mothers job is harder than mine. Dont get me wrong I love my kids but I dont wanna be at home every day with them.
So to all you mothers I stand tall and salute you. And no it wasnt because of the dirty diapers .
